H & R has access to all roofing shingles and products, but over the years we have identified certain manufacturers that prove to be superior. Some of our favorite roofing manufacturers include IKO, Certainteed, and ELK. We use primarily architectural shingles (also known as dimensional shingles) because of the benefit one receives versus standard three-tab or strip shingles. Architectural shingles have become very popular in the past 10 years, and there is a small difference in price between three tab shingles and architectural shingles—about $300 on the average house. In addition, architectural shingles have a more attractive profile that looks more like real wood shakes or slate. Sometimes more important than the shingles themselves are the underlayments and accessories that are used to protect your roof.
Here at H & R we are committed to going the extra mile when it comes to completing the installation of a new roof on your home.
